One of the most popular lamps in the Tiffany style is the desk lamp. Stained glass blinds are made up of ornate and intricate patterns that have existed since the 19th century and are often referred to as Tiffany style. These lamps are perfect for any home, as they can add pleasant brightness to the room while making your home more relaxing and comfortable.
Louis Comfort Tiffany was the owner of Tiffany Studios, however it is now known that the design and success of stained glass lamps is due in large part to Clar Driscoll.
Louis Comfort Tiffany commissioned Driscoll to assist him in his glass business (then called Tiffany Glass Works) in 1888. Driscoll was an assistant for the first three years of his career in New York, before moving to his own studio in Manhattan. After working with Tiffany for more than 20 years, Driscoll eventually became the studio's general manager, as well as the designer of many of Tiffany's most famous pieces.
