Giambologna (Italian Giovanni Bologna), born Jean de Bologne or Jehan de Boulogne is a sculptor in the mannerist flemish origin born in Douai in 1529 and died in Florence on 14 August 1608. The bronze sculpture John of Bologna was conducted between 1564 and 1580. The original statue is at the Bargello, in Florence.
