The bronze statue "the griffin" was made in the old style, the statuette is made of bronze and the base is made of marble.
The griffin is a legendary creature also called grype, it is present in several ancient cultures. The grype is represented with the body of an eagle (head, wings and talons), this body is grafted onto the back of a lion (abdomen, legs and tail), it has horse ears and a snake tail. With sometimes variations the griffin will always keep the singularity that distinguishes it, that of being hieracocephalic.
The Griffin may have different names, depending on the era. In the past, it could be called The Rescuer. Paleontologists have suggested that its invention came from discoveries of Protoceratops skeletons whose skull shape is reminiscent of that of a griffin.
