A Tiffany lamp inspired by the Art Deco style
Art Deco is a style of interior design and architecture that became popular in the 1920s. It features geometric shapes, bold colors, and intricate ornamentation. These elements are used to create spaces with clean lines and a sense of sophistication.
Tiffany lamps are a great way to add character and charm to classic homes. These fixtures are still popular today and can be found in many antique stores. However, authentic Tiffany lamps are rarer and sell for tens of thousands of dollars, so it may be a good idea to purchase a reproduction from our store.
Art Deco as seen by Louis Comfort Tiffany
The most iconic glass lamps are produced by Louis Comfort Tiffany, an American artist known for his contributions to the Art Nouveau movement. He developed the Favrile technique, first used in Gothic-era stained glass in the 11th or 12th century to create the painterly designs that are now synonymous with Tiffany.
To achieve this, Tiffany refined the traditional glaze pouring process to incorporate copper foil instead of lead, the standard method for creating stained glass. The use of copper foil was a major innovation that revived the aesthetic of stained glass, particularly in American home decoration.
This new glassworking technique allowed Tiffany to create the intricate designs so characteristic of his Art Deco lamps. Many of these designs feature colorful flowers and floral motifs inspired by nature.
Some of these beautiful pieces are also crafted to mimic the color and texture of gemstones. They feature richly saturated hues that are intentionally designed to resemble natural gemstones such as emerald and sapphire.
Tiffany lamps designed with these rich colors that were both visually stunning and functional. These were especially popular with the high-end clientele he served.
Originally designed for America's wealthy elite, these original Tiffany lamps are now collector's items that fetch tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of dollars.
They were commissioned by well-known Americans, including Mark Twain, Frank Lloyd Wright and John Henry Hopkins. Some of these beautiful pieces are still in museum collections today, such as the Mark Twain House in Connecticut.
Original Tiffany lamps from the early 1900s now sell for thousands of dollars.
There are many variations of the iconic design, from simple shapes to sculpted and carved pieces. The most sought-after pieces feature lavish embellishments, such as a dragonfly, wisteria or daffodils.
The “Pond Lily” pictured above sold at Christie’s in December 2018 for a whopping $3. It was one of the rarest and most expensive lamps ever made by Tiffany Studios and is currently considered a collector’s item.
It is possible to find affordable Tiffany lamps that are just as elegant and sophisticated. In fact, there are even some incredibly affordable modern reproductions of the classic Art Deco style.
Although they are more affordable, they still have the same iconic glassware as their original counterparts. These beautiful pieces of art make a great addition to any home.

Very good lamp. But the delivery service needs to be reviewed. Zero from zero, after 11 days of waiting I had to go and get it from their warehouse. Now that the lamp is at my place I receive SMS saying that I can go and get it from a relay point, Out of 2 deliveries made by DPD none went well. CHANGE service provider, your customers will appreciate it
