A large green marble column inspired by Art Nouveau with an octagonal shaped platform
In the early years, the use of this type of marble column was used for the construction of monumental buildings, such as cathedrals and other monumental works of art. They were also used in some of the most important and best-known libraries in Europe, including those belonging to the Louvre, the Medici Palace in Florence, the British Museum and the House of Parliament in London.
Like a work of art, there are different interpretations and forms, as mentioned above, one of the most famous ones that can be seen in public places today is at the Saachi Gallery in Tokyo. This column is another example of the type of Art Nouveau columns popular during the Viennese Art Movement period in the 19th century.
