Commode Louis XV with a diamond decoration composed of mahogany marquetry, blond mahogany and amaranth on a beech wood frame. The furniture is topped with a marble top.
The varnish was applied by hand with a tampon as in the past.
The chest of drawers is curved on the front and sides, opening through two drawers without a crosspiece.
The frame has a complete ornamentation of gilded bronzes on the uprights, drawers and façade.

This chest of drawers is a replica of a prestigious antique, the diamond marquetry requires a long work of cabinetmaking with great precision. The precious woods have been carefully selected for a striking contrast, with surrounds of finely chiseled gilded bronzes.
