The XNUMXth century hunting sideboards were made of oak, they had a large number of openings and a carved front, often with an XNUMXth century style dining table. These antiques can only be purchased from antique dealers.

The furniture is sometimes called a credenza (Regency period), these are sideboards topped with a shelf by a top opening with two doors.

First of all, it is important to know how to distinguish a chest of drawers from a sideboard.

The chest of drawers is equipped with drawers, while the buffet has doors. In this category, the Louis XV style Provencal buffets in solid walnut are popular with ornaments often in wrought iron. Still in terms of sideboards, we find enfilades, which are in fact the lower part.
