The bronze statue "the griffin" was made the old-fashioned way, the statuette is bronze and the base is marble.
The griffin is a legendary creature also named grype, it is present in several ancient cultures. The grype is represented with the body of an eagle (head, wings and talons), this body is grafted onto the back of a lion (abdomen, legs and tail), it has horse ears and a snake's tail. With sometimes variants the griffin will always keep the singularity that distinguishes it, that of being hieracocephalus.
The Griffin may have different names, depending on the era. In the past, he could be called The Rescuer. Paleontologists have speculated that his invention came from discoveries of Protoceratopskeleton skeletons whose skull shape evokes that of a griffin.
