The Art Deco style was a popular decorative style during the 1920s and 1930s. Its name comes from the Paris Exhibition of 1925. The design is often based on geometric shapes. Its lines are very similar to those of architectural structures. There are many similarities between the art deco office and the contemporary office.
The most important elements are rounded and strong. The style of the 1930s was influenced by the modern art movement. Bauhaus, Cubism and Orphephism were major influences.
