As with an ancient statuette, the sculpture is maintained by a screw system. The material that makes up our products respects the traditional composition, namely an alloy of copper, tin and zinc. It is a manufacturing method that is millennia before our era. Casting the bronze with lost wax ensures the sculpture a great finesse.

Bronze statues made with lost wax

The statuettes in our store are made from lost wax. It is a manufacturing technique dating back several millennia BC. This method consists of making a wax model that will be covered with a mold formerly made of terracotta. 

The materials that make up the bronze are put into the crucible in order to be melted, then they are poured into the terracotta mould, replacing the model made of wax. After casting the bronze, the terracotta mould is broken to reveal the work of art.

The sculpture is then hand-crafted with care. The final step is to make the patina, which can be brown or colored. The manufacture of a lost wax model brings out the finer details of the object, which guarantees a quality piece.

Many well-known artists used the lost wax technique for the creations of their sculptures, among them Auguste Rodin and Camille Claudel, these art objects are now worth considerable sums and make the wealth of happy Collectors.

In all countries and continents, bronze is a metal that has been used for the creation of objects of worship, such as bronze of the deity Shankara in India, or in Europe for the decoration of castles.
